You have to do both though - the utility doesn't seem quite as precise as the old gesture used to be - if there are competing 3 and 4 finger swiping gestures, even if they're different, i.e. This is no loss, because those gestures just switch to the useless Mission Control and widgets screen, which no one would ever seriously want to use anyway, much less have a shortcut for. Then, you need to disable pretty much all of Apple's 3 and 4 finger gestures from the Trackpad settings under the System Preferences menu. This app is the only reliable way to get the App Switcher gesture back.īut the only way I found to have the gesture work *consistently* is to enable all 3 and 4 finger gestures - up, down, left and right - to invoke the App Switcher.
